This is Bill.  He has cancer.  I am not sure what kind of cancer but I know he has to go for radiation treatments.  He has to go after hours when all other patients are gone or early in the morning on Sunday. He is given the treatment and released.  One Sunday morning I was out beatin the bushes trying to find homeless to go to church and I ran across him behind a feed store in a doorway freezing.  He was shaking under the blanket he had over his head.  So I managed to get his head out and saw his face was covered with radiation burns.  The man looked near death. This is a clear symbol of how we care for our fellow man.  Took some blankets from the van which I covered him with. Went and got some milk, which he said was the only thing that cooled the fire in his stomach.  After church I used the funds which I had formally used for food on Fridays when we normally make lunches for the homeless.  Now my wonderful church family give me One hundred and fifty dollars a month to buy food and now I have money to help in other ways.  Praise God for the foresight and compassion of the Sierra Baptist Church of Visalia.  We beatfeet down to Walmart ( who almost gave me a discount ) purchased a small tent, sleeping bag, pad and some other little stuff I forget now.  Took it back and put it up behind the Autoparts store whose manager graciously let me use. Grabbed Bill and took him to his new mansion, bought him lunch and left feeling really good about ourselves. We got all his information dob, and all the particulars planning to man the phone and find a way to get him some help.  After four hours of please hold and you might trys I all but gave up. Either I dont have the internal fortitude or there is really no hope for our sick homeless who do not have insurance or SSI, or know the welfare ropes......My heart broken we continued to go by and bring him food and clothing, socks, blankets. until one day he was just gone.  I know not where. Now his beautiful mansion is a mound of trash which we plan to clean up tomorrow...My ministry is wonderful but it can sure confuse you sometime...God Bless You and I hope you never have to face what Bill has faced.......

"And all things, whatsoever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive" Matthew 21:22
JESUS touched our hearts:

with a love for these outcasts from society. Many of them are  lost in a sea of alcohol and drugs, swimming in fear and distrust of the whole human race. They have been kicked around and abused by parents, bosses, spouse, society and many blame God for their situation. Living on the streets they find no peace.  One of my guys said to another when we were inviting him to church. "Man its two hours of not having to  watch your back."  In many cases these people are takin advantage of by younger and stronger people.  I saw one young man steal a Bible from an old crippled man.  Some of the things that happen are beyond belief.  One of my guys came to the Van for lunch and I noticed he had  big gashes held together by metal staples on his head.  Some of the them were five to six inches long.  I asked what had happened and he explained that he was in a park sleeping on a bench when a young man started hitting him in the head with  brass knuckles which had large spikes protruding from them. Mans inhumanity to man is unbelievable.
